IGNITE is the fourth (4th) full-length album by Canadian industrial rock band Econoline Crush. Recorded by Joe Johnston (The Pus Cavern Studio-Sacramento: Cake, Deftones) and Pro Tools / Cubase Operator/Producer Matthew J Doughty (Fleetwood Mac, The Killers, Stabilo Boss) during Summer 2007 at RadioStar Studios near Mt. Shasta in Northern California, it was released independently on January 15, 2008.
The band re-enlisted legendary Rock Music Producer Sylvia Massy Shivy (Tool, Johnny Cash, Prince, The Red Hot Chili Peppers) who began her career in Los Angles with Godfather of Rock's "Wall of Sound" and Columbia Records co-Composer: Rick Rubin. Sylvia Massy had previously produced Econoline Crush's 1998 album The Devil You Know in Burbank, CA which was released on EMI in Canada, and Restless Records in the USA. IGNITE is also the first album with the band's newest lineup, featuring Kai Markus on guitar, Scott Whalen on bass, and Brent Fitz (Slash, Alice Cooper, Theory of a Deadman) on drums.
The track listing for this album was released by songwriter/vocalist Trevor Hurst in a blog post: Nov 2007. The track "Get Out of the Way" is the goal song of the NHL's Edmonton Oilers.
